When our grand daughter was about 4 or 5 years old, she drew a picture of me. It looked like a dried prune. She sure put a lot of wrinkles in the face. Kids see things like that. And I don't have to check on my ear wrinkles. They have been there a very long time. I read some where that as we get older, our noses get longer and our ears get longer. Should pull the wrinkles out of the ears. Maybe if I live long enough, tney will. With this nonsense of people who adorn themselves with nose rings, rings in the eyebrows, belly buttons, unmentionable area, portrayed in the comic strip character, Pierce, wrinkles seem an attraction. Or maybe I am defending old age physiognomy.

Well written article.

I didn't look in the mirror, but I did feel the side of my face while I read. I think my "youth surge/age decelerating moisturizer with sun screen" is still holding up!

I have discovered one of the advantages to that whole presbyopia thing--when you look in the mirror without your reading glasses on, those fine lines and wrinkles aren't noticeable at all.

I usually laugh when I think about anti-wrinkle creams. They never actually say they'll make your face look good, just free of wrinkles. I would just throw some poison ivy in a can. That way, the face could swell up like a balloon and be free of every wrinkle, just like people wanted...right? Well, I'm sure that isn't what's inside of these products, and I'm pretty sure they actually do want they promise to some extent. Maybe that's why they refer to this as "facial sculpting" and not "facial bloating". Actually, they both sound slightly scary to me.
