Better take some cooking lessons from your father, who we hear is doing a fine job of turning out all kinds of meals. I , Frank, have mastered the fine art of making great oyster stew. You take a can of oysters, dump them into the bottom of a pressure cooker, add a quarter pound of oleo, heat until they fizzle, and then pour in about a half gallon of whole milk. Heat, but DO NOT BOIL this mess. I like those little hard oyster crackers better than soda crackers, which tend to make a sodden mess. I have learned from my better half that I have to clean up the mess after I get done making it.....
